This Charlotte home, located in the Foxcroft neighborhood, has been added onto and reimagined more than once over the years, and somewhere in all of that history, it had developed a character worth keeping. For that reason, the majority of the layout stayed for these bathroom renovations, but the look and feel was completely transformed.

For the primary bath, the traditional roots of the home and neighborhood set the tone. Natural stone tile, full overlay cabinetry with detailed molding, polished nickel hardware, herringbone floors, crown molding, and a water glass chandelier that anchors the whole room. The soft blue-gray palette keeps it from feeling heavy, and the dramatic black doors introduce just enough tension to make all blend beautifully. The piece that defines the space is the solid surface freestanding tub. Its matte finish is the kind of design decision that makes everything else fall into place. The enclosed shower stayed by design. There's a real luxury to a shower that feels like its own room.

One of our favorite details lives in the custom tower cabinets above the countertop: X mullions, mirrored center panels, and discreetly integrated outlets for electric toothbrushes and razors. Beautiful to look at, genuinely useful to live with.

The upstairs ensuite has an entirely different personality – brighter and more casual. Originally this space had a tub shower with framed shower glass. Going frameless opened everything up, and the design followed suit. Blue subway tile in the shower, an oval tilt mirror, and colorful artwork give it a bright charm that feels approachable and inviting.

Two bathrooms, two personalities, yet the same intention – every detail tailored to the people who live there.
